A Night at the Museum (of Western Colorado)

The NUcrew had a cultural outing last night to the Museum of Western Colorado and it was an AMAZING experience! It was a first time experience for many of the team, even though the museum has been in existence in some form since 1949. It was incorporated in 1965 and opened their doors May 1, 1966 in the former Whitman School. The museum has been at it's current location, of 462 Ute. Ave in Grand Junction (the former C.D. Smith Warehouse) since 2000.

The Museum has lots of activities going on, including Cool Summer Nights on Thursdays from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. It is the perfect pairing if you're already headed downtown to visit the Farmers Market. This week's free admission is courtesy of Bank of the West and features a Tour of the Exhibit Galleries.

Special thanks to David Bailey, the Curator of the Museum and Director of the Western Investigations Team who took time to show us around the "behind the scenes" items that are located downstairs. It was a great night spent with coworkers learning about one of our newest customers! Be sure to check it out for yourselves!
