Meet the team that makes Networks Unlimited so great!
Mark is the President of Networks Unlimited. He founded the company in 2001 after years in the technology industry.
Mark has lived in Maryland, Spain, Washington DC, Germany, California, South Dakota, and Mississippi as a military brat. He met his wife Amy, a Grand Junction local, in college. After living in Seattle for a few years, they decided Grand Junction was a better place to raise their family.
In his free time, you can find Mark hunting, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time with his family and friends. He is also a fantastic chef, who shares his gift with NU’s staff by cooking up breakfast and lunch when they’re good.
Preston, Vice President
Preston is Vice President and Service Manager at Networks Unlimited and has been with Networks Unlimited since 2005. He has been in the information technology field since 1990, after graduating with an Associates in Applied Science in Electronics.
Born in Sacramento but raised in Grand Junction. His parents thought the Grand Valley was a more suitable place to raise their two boys.
Preston and his family own a share in a houseboat buoyed at Bullfrog Marina, so he tries to sneak out early on Fridays to go boating at Lake Powell. He also enjoys golfing, fly fishing and traveling with his family and friends.
Darrell, Field Service Supervisor
Darrell was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He formerly worked in the construction field but wanted a warm inside office job, so he went to school for computer programming.
After a corporate transfer to Las Vegas and then another to Grand Junction, Darrell eventually joined forces with Networks Unlimited. Here, he focuses on the customer. Darrell coordinates all projects to ensure our clients get the BEST experience with the least confusion.
In his free time, Darrell loves spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He also loves going on motorcycle road trips!
Robert Benjamin, Director of Business Operations
Robert joined Networks Unlimited in 2006 and holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Purdue University.
His career in information technology has included work in Minneapolis, Wichita, Milwaukee and Atlanta before arriving in Grand Junction.
Robert spent his childhood summers on his grandfather’s cattle ranch in the Unaweep Canyon and always dreamed of living on the Western Slope. He’s proud fan of every Chicago sports team (his birthplace), a Rotarian with the Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club and enjoys traveling with his wife. He also enjoys peace and quiet with their two St. Bernard dogs – Rosie and Tilly.
Judy, Accounting Manager
Judy is the Accounting Manager at Networks Unlimited. If you have any billing questions or need to make a payment, Judy is your lady!
She grew up in Montrose and has always loved the outdoors.
Outside of work, you can find Judy dirt biking, snowmobiling, hiking, spending time in the mountains, exploring old mines, and traveling. Vancouver, British Columbia, is one of her favorite places to visit.
Hunter, Accounting Assistant
As the Accounting Assistant, Hunter takes customer payments, helps answer billing questions, and assists with other accounting duties.
Hunter was born and raised in Montrose but moved to Grand Junction in 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Colorado Mesa University.
As a Colorado native, Hunter enjoys being outdoors either hiking, camping, jeeping, shooting or playing volleyball. She also loves spending quality time with her dogs and her husband.
Christopher, Remote Support Specialist
Christopher is one of our Remote Support Specialists. He is a Colorado native, originally from Silverton but has called the Grand Valley home since 2000. Chris studied computer science at Colorado Mesa University and is currently working on more technical credentialing.
With many years in the food industry, Chris enjoyed the fast-paced life but now enjoys spending time chasing his Border Collie and Australian Shepard pup.
When not playing with his dog, you’ll find Chris skateboarding, snowboarding, or camping!
Meghann, Sales Coordinator
Meghann is our “go-to” person for any questions about hardware or software! As the Sales Coordinator for us, she is in charge of all quotes and orders for our customers – no matter if it is equipment for and entirely new building or just one replacement power cord.
Meghann grew up on the front range (as the oldest of four sisters) but moved to Grand Junction and enjoys spending time with her husband and kids.
In her free time, she enjoys camping, yoga, and gardening.
Beau, Network Operations Supervisor
Beau is the Network Operations Supervisor at Networks Unlimited. He manages customer data backups, performs preventative maintenance, and actively monitors servers. He also assists with the Office 365 migrations and Microsoft SharePoint projects.
Beau grew up in Black Hawk and moved to Grand Junction for college. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Colorado Mesa University.
In his free time, Beau enjoys playing video games, lifting weights, snowboarding, playing guitar, kayaking, fishing, and camping.
Brittany, Business Development Manager
Brittany is our Business Development Manager and is originally from northern California but moved to Grand Junction in 2007.
She holds a BA in English Literature from Colorado Mesa University. Brittany has a background in technology, where she acquired great tech and client relation skills.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her daughter and two French Bulldogs! She is an avid snowboarder, traveler, and also enjoys kayaking, fishing, hunting, yoga, and weight lifting. Brittany loves visiting different college basketball arenas in the US.
Jim, Denver Branch Manager | Senior Engineer
Jim is a Senior Engineer/Field Tech/Branch Manager for our Denver office. Jim has been in the IT industry since 2000 and was the founder and owner of Uptown Technologies. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Information Management from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, certifications from Microsoft, Citrix, CompTIA, and trained in commercial building systems integration.
Originally from the Chicago area, Jim relocated to Colorado in 1988, first living in Denver, then moved to the high country and lived in several different ski resort towns. He successfully built an IT consulting business in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, between Vail and Steamboat Springs, and later the Front Range.
Outside of work, you’ll find Jim busy with home improvement projects, woodworking, or studying railroad history. He also is big on rafting or biking in the summer or skiing during the winter months.
Drew, Network Engineer
Drew is one of our Network Engineers and holds a degree in Network Information Technology. His certifications include: CSS Customer Service Certification by the Electronics Technicians Association, CompTIA A+ Certification, Brainbench Certificates in Microsoft Security and Storage Area Networks, and a Cisco CCNA Certification. He also has two years of Advanced 3D computer animation and computer art education (which are now hobbies).
Drew is originally from New Mexico but has lived in Grand Junction since 2001. He started working with Networks Unlimited in 2008.
If he isn’t working with a computer, Drew is spending time with his family, riding dirt bikes, fishing, or training for a fight. He is the reigning undefeated Street Fighter 2 Tournament Champion of Western Colorado.
John, Senior Network Engineer
Originally from the San Francisco bay area, John is our Senior Network Engineer at our Ouray office.
With a BS in Geophysical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science, John is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). He owned and operated an IT engineering firm for 26 years before merging with Networks Unlimited.
Outside of work, you’ll find John working as a sommelier or as a National Championship Official for USA swimming. He holds a WSET Level 2 Certification is an exam question author for Microsoft. John is married with four kids and eight grandkids!
Brian, Senior Engineer
Brian is one of our Senior Engineers in our Denver office. He has a vast knowledge and wealth of experience with networking technologies and computer systems. Brian is constantly studying the latest developments in computer software and hardware and finding ways to leverage technology advancements to gain efficiencies in the IT environment.
Before living in Colorado, Brian spent over 10 years in Oregon as an IT Consultant for small and medium-sized businesses, and as the Director of Information Technology at Summit Projects, helping to successfully deliver many complex projects for high profile clients.
When Brian is not reading the latest in technology news or working, he enjoys downhill skiing, designing and building custom circuit boards, and is always on the lookout for new areas to explore!
Christian, Network Engineer
Christian is one of our Network Engineers. He helps solve on-site problems for customers.
Christian was born in Grand Junction, raised in Summit County and returned to GJ for college. He holds his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Though Christian spends his days working on computers and fixing networking problems, he also enjoys playing with computers in his free time. He also enjoys music and movies, like Happy Gilmore and Project X. Christian is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and pets (two cats and a dog).
Nick, NOC Services Administrator
Nick is one of our NOC Services Administrators. He was born and raised in Indiana. On a family road trip, when he first saw the Rocky Mountains, Nick knew he wanted to live in Colorado one day! In 2018, that day came and he happily made the made the move to Grand Junction.
Nick studied Information Technology at a vocational school in Indiana before making his way out west.
Outside of work, you’ll find Nick floating the river, mountain biking, hanging out with friends, playing video games or spending time with his girlfriend!
Caleb, Network Operations Specialist
Caleb is a Network Operations Specialist. He works on customer solutions at their facility or helps with more complex problems when customers call.
Caleb was born and raised in the Grand Valley. He holds certifications in two separate phone systems, Aeonix and MiVoice Office 250, making him an enormous asset to work on our business phone solution, NUvoice.
When not working on computers, you’ll find Caleb spending time with his family or playing with his two Golden Retrievers. He also enjoys playing board games and video games with friends.
Craig, Montrose Branch Manager
Craig is our Montrose Branch Manager and our Sharepoint Designer.
Originally from Delta, Craig has lived in a variety of places. He earned two degrees in Utah at ITT Tech. He has an Associates degree in Multimedia and a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management.
Outside of the office, you can find Craig spending time with his four kids, camping, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, or cooking for family and friends. He also enjoys playing games, longboarding, and watching movies!
Terry, NOC Services Administrator
Terry is one of the NOC Services Administrators at Networks Unlimited. He works closely with our customers to monitor and prevent problems from happening. These functions can include backups, Office 365, email filtering, and anti-virus.
Terry was born and raised in Rifle and moved to Grand Junction in 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado. Terry is also a member of the Mesa County Search and Rescue Ground Team and an amateur radio operator.
When not working, Terry enjoys getting outside with his wife and three kids. He also enjoys hiking and camping with their dog, Bodie.
Mike, Dispatch Coordinator
Mike is the Dispatcher for Networks Unlimited. He schedules hardware and software installation by our engineers and also oversees solving emergency network problems. If you need anything scheduled on-site, Mike is your guy!
Mike was born in Colorado Springs but moved to Grand Junction when he was seven years old. He enjoyed growing up here so much that he decided to stay as an adult.
In his free time, Mike enjoys playing video games with his friends and producing videos and music. Playing games helps Mike de-stress after a long day.
Craig, Shop Technician (GJ)
Craig is one our primary shop technician at our Grand Junction location. He works on broken computers and brings them back to life!
Craig was born in New Mexico, raised partly in Oklahoma before his family settled in Grand Junction – moving here to enjoy the mountains and the outdoors.
Craig and his wife Sandy have been married for over 25 years, have three kids, and eight grandkids! Craig enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, reading sci-fi/fantasy books, and playing PC based computer games.
Brandon, Remote Support Specialist
Brandon is one of our Remote Support Specialists. He can troubleshoot IT problems and helps when things go wrong – like a password reset, formula creation in an Excel spreadsheet, or map a printer to your computer.
Born in Rifle but raised all over the state – Brandon has spent the majority of his life in Colorado Springs and the Grand Valley. He moved back to Grand Junction in 2008 to be closer to family.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys PC gaming, specifically Empyrion: Galactic Survival. He enjoys building computers, playing disk golf, designing things in AutoCAD, and building play furniture for his three cats, Sox, Charlie, and Patches.
Chris, Field Technician
Chris is one of our Field Technicians and can solve your technical or equipment issues onsite or remotely.
Chris was born and raised in Washington, until age four when his family moved to Grand Junction. He worked for his father in an auto body shop but quickly learned that his passion was in technology. He’s currently working towards TWO Associates Degrees from Colorado Mesa University; one in Technology Integration and the other in Electronics.
Outside of work, you can find Chris playing paintball, wakeboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, or hiking! He also enjoys lazy days at Canyon View Park, reading inside, relaxing or playing video games at home.
Tom, Remote Support Supervisor
Tom is our Remote Support Supervisor who serves as the first responder when you are having technology problems. When you call our Remote Support, Tom and his team can remote into your computer to fix the problem quickly.
Originally from southern California, Tom relocated to the Grand Valley in 2012 for the outdoor activities our area offers.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys riding his motorcycle, hiking, and fishing. One of his favorite places to visit (and play) is Moab. Tom is also passionate about dog rescue and has many pets!
Chris M., Remote Support Specialist
Chris is one of our Remote Support Specialists. Originally from southern California, he now lives outside of Phoenix.
Earning an A+ Certification from CompTIA, Chris enjoys his work and learning something new everyday and in his words, “Figuring out ways to solve interesting problems.”
Outside of the office, you’ll find Chris spending time bowling with his team, Bowllet Club (the 2019 Punk Rock Bowling Champions), collecting comic books, passionately supporting the Arizona Coyotes hockey team, or attending rock ‘n roll concerts! He also enjoys spending time with his partner, Libby, and their adopted shelter dog, Allie.
Michael B., NOC Services Team
Michael works with our clients as Remote Tech Support and enjoys learning something new everyday. He likes fixing problems on the computer!
Originally from Phoenix, Michael relocated to Gunnison and then moved to Grand Junction to attend college. He earned a degree in Mass Communication and worked at KKCO as a director before moving into the tech world!
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, playing board games, video games, camping, and hanging out with friends and family (which includes his dogs and cats).
Jaedon, Field Technician
Jaedon is one of our Field Technicians. Originally from the Grand Valley, he graduated from FMHS, and went on to study Computer Information Systems and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from CMU.
Jaedon’s favorite TV shows are That 70’s Show and The Office. He also enjoys listening to audio books.
If he’s not playing video games, his electric guitar, vinyls or listening to music, you’ll find him hiking with his two dogs (Husky/German Shepard and Aussie/Pitbull) or playing with his two cats.
Scott, Field Technician
Scott is one of our Field Technicians. Born and raised in Morrison, Colo., Scott attended Colorado State University where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science.
Scott is married with two children and they enjoy being outside together. Whether on a road trip, camping, mountain biking, golfing, or skiing – family time is important!
Scott spent 18 years in Summit County and moved to Fruita in 2019. He enjoys the adventures the western slope offers and shoveling a lot less snow!
Austin is our office Administrator at our Montrose location.
Born and raised in Sedona, Austin served six years in the the Army before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a minor in IT. He’s called Colorado home since 2007.
Outside of work, Austin enjoys water sports, playing baseball, camping and playing in the outdoors. He enjoys spending time with his three kids and coaching their sports teams.
Katie, Accounting Assistant
Katie is one of our Accounting Assistants! A kid from a military family, she moved around a ton but has called Grand Junction home since 2009.
Katie is married with three dogs: Bandit, Tango and Sam!
Outside of the office, Katie like to be in the mountains climbing, hiking, camping or backpacking! She also enjoys roadtrips with her husband and playing musical instruments together.
Alayna, Account Manager
Alayna is one of our Account Managers. She is a Colorado native, growing up on the front range but spent summers in Grand Junction. She moved to Grand Junction when she was fifteen.
Before Networks Unlimited, Alayna has worked in a variety of roles from a creative technologist to library assistant, farming to GIS mapping.
Outside of work you’ll find Alayna enjoying one of her many hobbies: playing various musical instruments, camping, learning new languages, reading, and playing video games.
Nickolas, Remote Support Specialist
Nickolas is on our Remote Support Team as one of our Remote Support Specialists.
Nickolas grew up as a military brat and lived in Germany during high school. After graduation, he moved to Grand Junction to attend CMU. Involved in the audio lab (music and audio productions), he earned his Bachelor’s degree in PR/Advertising/Broadcast Radio.
In his free time, Nickolas likes to play at the park with his young daughter, paint (acrylic and oil), collaborate with friends on projects, make music, or play video games.
Nick M., Remote Support Specialist
Nick is one of our Remote Support Specialists. He has a strong interest in technical drawing and studied Computer Aided Design at WCCC. He’s currently studying to become A+ Certified.
Nick got married 2014 and enjoys spending time with his wife and their two Rat Terrier dogs. He and his wife love to be together – whether it be playing sports (basketball, disk golf, football, etc.), or board games, camping, or watching movies, they work to make everyday a good day together!
Nick enjoys his volunteer work with Jehovah’s Witness and reading the Bible.
Caitlyn, NOC Services Administrator
Caitlyn is one of our NOC Services Administrators. Born and raised in Wauseon, Ohio, Caitlyn followed her heart and moved to Grand Junction in 2020.
Caitlyn has an Associate’s Degree in Network Administration from Northwest State Community College.
When not working, you’ll find Caitlyn spending time playing video games, watching Netflix, hiking, spending time with her boyfriend and two cats, Salem and Fluffy!
Shawn, Field Technician
Shawn is one of our Field Technicians in our Montrose office. Originally from Montrose, Shawn has a long family history on the western slope. He lived in Las Vegas for 20 years as a food server but is happy to be back in Colorado.
Shawn has a Help Desk Administrator certificate from MedCerts and enjoys helping people solve their technology problems.
In his free time, you’ll find Shawn working with electronics (he puts on an annual RGB LED Christmas light show synced with music), playing with his two Corgis, reading, playing video games, hanging out with friends and family, or DIY projects remodeling his 1905 historic downtown home.
Amy is our Receptionist at our Grand Junction office. She is a Grand Junction local and loves helping our customers and building relationships with clients and staff.
Since 2000, Amy has been working in customer service in the printing industry, as well as the mountain bike components industry. She is glad to be part of the NUcrew team.
Her Colorado heritage goes back to the early 1900s and Amy is very proud of her native roots. Amy is a proud parent to two boys and is always adventuring in the outdoors with them. When not at the office, you’ll find Amy outside at their cabin, hunting, fishing, hiking, or fishing at Lake Powell!
