Meet the team that makes Networks Unlimited so great!
Mark is the President of Networks Unlimited. He founded the company in 2001 after years in the technology industry.
Mark has lived in Maryland, Spain, Washington DC, Germany, California, South Dakota, and Mississippi as a military brat. He met his wife Amy, a Grand Junction local, in college. After living in Seattle for a few years, they decided Grand Junction was a better place to raise their family.
In his free time, you can find Mark hunting, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time with his family and friends. He is also a fantastic chef, who shares his gift with NU’s staff by cooking up breakfast and lunch when they’re good.
Preston, Vice President
Preston is Vice President and Service Manager at Networks Unlimited and has been with Networks Unlimited since 2005. He has been in the information technology field since 1990, after graduating with an Associates in Applied Science in Electronics.
Born in Sacramento but raised in Grand Junction. His parents thought the Grand Valley was a more suitable place to raise their two boys.
Preston and his family own a share in a houseboat buoyed at Bullfrog Marina, so he tries to sneak out early on Fridays to go boating at Lake Powell. He also enjoys golfing, fly fishing and traveling with his family and friends.
Darrell, Field Service Supervisor
Darrell was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He formerly worked in the construction field but wanted a warm inside office job, so he went to school for computer programming.
After a corporate transfer to Las Vegas and then another to Grand Junction, Darrell eventually joined forces with Networks Unlimited. Here, he focuses on the customer. Darrell coordinates all projects to ensure our clients get the BEST experience with the least confusion.
In his free time, Darrell loves spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He also loves going on motorcycle road trips!
Robert Benjamin, Director of Business Operations
Robert joined Networks Unlimited in 2006 and holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Purdue University.
His career in information technology has included work in Minneapolis, Wichita, Milwaukee and Atlanta before arriving in Grand Junction.
Robert spent his childhood summers on his grandfather’s cattle ranch in the Unaweep Canyon and always dreamed of living on the Western Slope. He’s proud fan of every Chicago sports team (his birthplace), a Rotarian with the Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club and enjoys traveling with his wife. He also enjoys peace and quiet with their two St. Bernard dogs – Rosie and Tilly.
Robert Burkey, Sales Manager
Robert, or Rob, as most people know him, is originally from Grand Junction. He manages the sales team for Networks Unlimited.
After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management, Rob spent a few years in New Mexico and Denver. He later returned to Grand Junction with his wife to raise their two daughters.
When Rob isn’t working, he enjoys spending time cooking and creating (or perfecting) a new dish! He and his family also enjoy being in the outdoors whether it is skiing, hiking, attending sporting events, or walking around a classic car show.
Lee, Account Manager
Lee is an Account Manager at our Montrose office. He covers a wide area including Montrose, Delta, Cedaredge, Hotchkiss, Paonia, Ouray, Ridgway, Gunnison, and Telluride. Lee helps business owners evaluate, implement, and utilize technology to meet their needs and challenges.
Lee is originally from Atlanta. After living in the Alaskan bush for two years, he and his wife moved to Montrose (recommended from Coloradans living in Alaska) and enjoy the outdoor recreation in the area.
In his free time, Lee enjoys hiking, fly fishing, traveling the world, and camping with his wife and young son.
Derek, Account Manager
Derek is an Account Manager in Grand Junction. He provides support to our clients with hardware and software products, as well as sourcing various technical equipment and products – meeting the needs of our diverse business clientele.
Derek is originally from Delta and moved to Grand Junction for bigger opportunities. He has two kids and two Yorkie dogs.
In his free time, Derek enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Meghann, Sales Coordinator
Meghann is our “go-to” person for any questions about hardware or software! As the Sales Coordinator for us, she is in charge of all quotes and orders for our customers (no matter if it is equipment for an entirely new building or just one replacement power cord!).
Meghann grew up on the front range (as the oldest of four sisters) but moved to Grand Junction and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
In her free time, she enjoys camping, yoga, and gardening.
Brittany, Business Development Manager
Brittany is our Business Development Manager and is originally from northern California but moved to Grand Junction in 2007.
She holds a BA in English Literature from Colorado Mesa University. Brittany has a background in technology, where she acquired great tech and client relation skills.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her daughter and two French Bulldogs! She is an avid snowboarder, traveler, and also enjoys kayaking, fishing, hunting, yoga, and weight lifting. Brittany loves visiting different college basketball arenas in the US.
Judy, Accounting Manager
Judy is the Accounting Manager at Networks Unlimited. If you have any billing questions or need to make a payment, Judy is your lady!
She grew up in Montrose and has always loved the outdoors.
Outside of work, you can find Judy dirt biking, snowmobiling, hiking, spending time in the mountains, exploring old mines, and traveling. Vancouver, British Columbia, is one of her favorite places to visit.
Hunter, Accounting Assistant
As the Accounting Assistant, Hunter takes customer payments, helps answer billing questions, and assists with other accounting duties.
Hunter was born and raised in Montrose but moved to Grand Junction in 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Colorado Mesa University.
As a Colorado native, Hunter enjoys being outdoors either hiking, camping, jeeping, shooting or playing volleyball. She also loves spending quality time with her dogs and fiancé.
Kyle, NOC Services Administrator
Kyle is one of the NOC Services Administrators at Networks Unlimited. He manages our Anti-Virus Platforms, performs preventative maintenance, performs Anti-virus migrations, and he also manages the inventory for the Managed Services Department.
Kyle is a native to Grand Junction and loves supporting his local game stores, finding solutions to problems and learning new things.
In his free time, Kyle enjoys competitive games, playing with Dogos, eating Asian food, and drinking beer. He enjoys listening to music and hanging out with good people, too.
John, Senior Network Engineer
Originally from the San Francisco bay area, John is our Senior Network Engineer at our Ouray office.
With a BS in Geophysical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science, John is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). He owned and operated an IT engineering firm for 26 years before merging with Networks Unlimited.
Outside of work, you’ll find John working as a sommelier or as a National Championship Official for USA swimming. He holds a WSET Level 2 Certification is an exam question author for Microsoft. John is married with four kids and eight grandkids!
Drew, Network Engineer
Drew is one of our Network Engineers and holds a degree in Network Information Technology. His certifications include: CSS Customer Service Certification by the Electronics Technicians Association, CompTIA A+ Certification, Brainbench Certificates in Microsoft Security and Storage Area Networks, and a Cisco CCNA Certification. He also has two years of Advanced 3D computer animation and computer art education (which are now hobbies).
Drew is originally from New Mexico but has lived in Grand Junction since 2001. He started working with Networks Unlimited in 2008.
If he isn’t working with a computer, Drew is spending time with his family, riding dirt bikes, fishing, or training for a fight. He is the reigning undefeated Street Fighter 2 Tournament Champion of Western Colorado.
Christian, Network Engineer
Christian is one of our Network Engineers. He helps solve on-site problems for customers.
Christian was born in Grand Junction, raised in Summit County and returned to GJ for college. He holds his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Though Christian spends his days working on computers and fixing networking problems, he also enjoys playing with computers in his free time. He also enjoys music and movies, like Happy Gilmore and Project X. Christian is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and pets (two cats and a dog).
Mike, Network Engineer
Mike is one of our Network Engineers. Mike has been interested in computers and working on them for years. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science Information Technology from Colorado Mesa University. On top of that, he is pursuing a certification for Cisco CCNA.
Originally from Grand Lake, Mike was raised on the water at their family-owned marina. He enjoys water sports, fishing and all the wonders of the outdoors.
If he’s not working or playing in water, he’s probably riding a bike. Mike is an avid mountain biker and loves to ride our local trials whenever he gets a chance.
Caleb, Network Operations Specialist
Caleb is a Network Operations Specialist. He works on customer solutions at their facility or helps with more complex problems when customers call.
Caleb was born and raised in the Grand Valley. He holds certifications in two separate phone systems, Aeonix and MiVoice Office 250, making him an enormous asset to work on our business phone solution, NUvoice.
When not working on computers, you’ll find Caleb spending time with his family or playing with his two Golden Retrievers. He also enjoys playing board games and video games with friends.
Beau, Network Operations Supervisor
Beau is the Network Operations Supervisor at Networks Unlimited. He manages customer data backups, performs preventative maintenance, and actively monitors servers. He also assists with the Office 365 migrations and Microsoft SharePoint projects.
Beau grew up in Black Hawk and moved to Grand Junction for college. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Colorado Mesa University.
In his free time, Beau enjoys playing video games, lifting weights, snowboarding, playing guitar, kayaking, fishing, and camping.
Terry, NOC Services Administrator
Terry is one of the NOC Services Administrators at Networks Unlimited. He works closely with our customers to monitor and prevent problems from happening. These functions can include backups, Office 365, email filtering, and anti-virus.
Terry was born and raised in Rifle and moved to Grand Junction in 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado. Terry is also a member of the Mesa County Search and Rescue Ground Team and an amateur radio operator.
When not working, Terry enjoys getting outside with his wife and three kids. He also enjoys hiking and camping with their dog, Bodie.
Mike, Dispatch Coordinator
Mike is the Dispatcher for Networks Unlimited. He schedules hardware and software installation by our engineers and also oversees solving emergency network problems. If you need anything scheduled on-site, Mike is your guy!
Mike was born in Colorado Springs but moved to Grand Junction when he was seven years old. He enjoyed growing up here so much that he decided to stay as an adult.
In his free time, Mike enjoys playing video games with his friends and producing videos and music. Playing games helps Mike de-stress after a long day.
Aidan, NOC Services Administrator
Aidan is one of our NOC Services Administrators. He was born and raised in Grand Junction and earned his Associates of Integra Clust-Network Tech from Colorado Mesa University.
Originally employed in 2016 Aidan took a short work break but he’s back on his ‘second tour’ with the Networks Unlimited crew!
When not at work, Aidan loves to spend time outside! In the warmer months you’ll find him on a mountain bike, exploring potholes and/or lakes. He enjoys scuba diving and exploring new spots to dive (his favorite places are in Utah). In the winter, you’ll find him skiing on the mountains!
Nick, NOC Services Administrator
Nick is one of our NOC Services Administrators. He was born and raised in Indiana. On a family road trip, when he first saw the Rocky Mountains, Nick knew he wanted to live in Colorado one day! In 2018, that day came and he happily made the made the move to Grand Junction.
Nick studied Information Technology at a vocational school in Indiana before making his way out west.
Outside of work, you’ll find Nick floating the river, mountain biking, hanging out with friends, playing video games or spending time with his girlfriend!
Craig, Remote Support Specialist
Craig is one of our Remote Support Specialists. He works with clients who call in and helps solve their IT issues, remotely. Craig also helps in our repair shop to fix broken computers.
Craig was born in New Mexico, raised partly in Oklahoma before his family settled in Grand Junction – moving here to enjoy the mountains and the outdoors.
Craig and his wife Sandy have been married for over 25, have three kids, and eight grandkids! Craig enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, reading sci-fi/fantasy books, and playing PC based computer games.
Brandon, Remote Support Specialist
Brandon is one of our Remote Support Specialists. He can troubleshoot IT problems and helps when things go wrong – like a password reset, formula creation in an Excel spreadsheet, or map a printer to your computer.
Born in Rifle but raised all over the state – Brandon has spent the majority of his life in Colorado Springs and the Grand Valley. He moved back to Grand Junction in 2008 to be closer to family.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys PC gaming, specifically ARK and Startrek online. He also enjoys building computers, playing disk golf, and designing things in AutoCAD.
Chris, Field Technician
Chris is one of our Field Technicians and can solve your technical or equipment issues onsite or remotely.
Chris was born and raised in Washington, until age four when his family moved to Grand Junction. He worked for his father in an auto body shop but quickly learned that his passion was in technology. He’s currently working towards TWO Associates Degrees from Colorado Mesa University; one in Technology Integration and the other in Electronics.
Outside of work, you can find Chris playing paintball, wakeboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, or hiking! He also enjoys lazy days at Canyon View Park, reading inside, relaxing or playing video games at home.
Tom, Remote Support Supervisor
Tom is our Remote Support Supervisor who serves as the first responder when you are having technology problems. When you call our Remote Support, Tom and his team can remote into your computer to fix the problem quickly.
Originally from southern California, Tom relocated to the Grand Valley in 2012 for the outdoor activities our area offers.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys riding his motorcycle, hiking, and fishing. One of his favorite places to visit (and play) is Moab. Tom is also passionate about dog rescue and has many pets!
Chris M., Remote Support Specialist
Chris is one of our Remote Support Specialists. Originally from southern California, he now lives outside of Phoenix.
Earning an A+ Certification from CompTIA, Chris enjoys his work and learning something new everyday and in his words, “Figuring out ways to solve interesting problems.”
Outside of the office, you’ll find Chris spending time bowling with his team, Bowllet Club (the 2019 Punk Rock Bowling Champions), collecting comic books, passionately supporting the Arizona Coyotes hockey team, or attending rock ‘n roll concerts! He also enjoys spending time with his partner, Libby, and their adopted shelter dog, Allie.
Michael B., Remote Tech Support
Michael works with our clients as Remote Tech Support and enjoys learning something new everyday. He likes fixing problems on the computer!
Originally from Phoenix, Michael relocated to Gunnison and then moved to Grand Junction to attend college. He earned a degree in Mass Communication and worked at KKCO as a director before moving into the tech world!
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, playing board games, video games, camping, and hanging out with friends and family (which includes his dogs and cats).
Aidan, NOC Services Administrator
Aidan is one of our NOC Services Administrators. Originally from the front range, Aidan moved to Grand Junction for college. After graduating with a degree in Computer Information Systems and Business, he has made the western slope home.
At age 9, Aidan built his first computer and loves building computers to this day. He also loves Indian and Thai food.
Outside of work, you’ll find Aidan playing video games, watching movies, playing tabletop war and board games, skiing (in winter), and hanging with friends.
Lee, Field Technician
Lee is one of our Field Technicians. He can fix your IT issues remotely or come to your business to make repairs. Born in Grand Junction and raised in Durango, Lee lived several years in Minnesota before returning to the western slope.
When not playing or working on computers, he’s making beer, cider, vinegar and wine – he likes fermentable carbohydrates and fermenting them!
Lee is married with two kids. When not fermenting, he also likes to cook, play frisbee golf, spend time with his family and play in the outdoors.
David, Computer Technician
As one of our Computer Technicians, David likes truly enjoys working on computers, both in the office and out of the office at home!
Born and raised in Montrose, David currently lives in Cimarron and commutes to Montrose for work. As an avid outdoorsman, David loves to spend time hiking, camping, and exploring the area around Cimarron.
Outside of work, you can find David behind the camera (when he’s not tinkering with computers) as a landscape photographer, spending time with friends and family, and being active with Civil Air Patrol and CyberPatriot.
Katie, Accounting Assistant
Katie is one of our Accounting Assistants! A kid from a military family, she moved around a ton but has called Grand Junction home since 2009.
Katie is married with three dogs: Bandit, Tango and Sam!
Outside of the office, Katie like to be in the mountains climbing, hiking, camping or backpacking! She also enjoys roadtrips with her husband and playing musical instruments together.
Victoria, Remote Support Specialist
Victoria is one of our Remote Support Specialists. A born and raised in Arizonian, she currently resides in Chandler – helping our customers from a distance!
Victoria attended and graduated from Pima Medical Institute and is a licensed pharmacy technician and is NPTA certified. She also has a tech support background with Apple and GoDaddy.
When she’s not working on computers, she’s gaming on them! Victoria enjoys painting (acrylic on canvas), spending time with her partner and their young son – either gaming or exploring the city together.
Austin is our office Administrator at our Montrose location.
Born and raised in Sedona, Austin served six years in the the Army before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a minor in IT. He’s called Colorado home since 2007.
Outside of work, Austin enjoys water sports, playing baseball, camping and playing in the outdoors. He enjoys spending time with his three kids and coaching their sports teams.
Natalie is the receptionist at our main office in Grand Junction. She was born in Grand Junction, raised in Durango and Mexico, before moving back to the Grand Valley.
Living abroad as a nanny and traveling around the world has given Natalie a love for adventure and learning about new cultures. She enjoys traveling, learning new languages, try new foods, and hosting couch surfers!
Outside of work, Natalie enjoys practicing yoga, running, playing soccer, spending time outdoors (mostly in the summer when the sun is out and weather is warm), and spending time with her boyfriend, family, and friends.
